2 Books You Need To Read!
Hello everyone! Most people dislike books. History texts, maths problems…. Huff! But, have you ever fictional books? If you think that books are boring and you don't want to spend time in them, then fictional books will change your attitude towards them. Dragons, unicorns, pixies, fairies all play their part in these books. If you want relief from the world you are living, then fictional books are always handy. Of course, you can watch movies instead of reading, but try a book and see how it delivers a different experience than films! So, in this blog, I am going to list five books that are sure to capture your mind!
Harry Potter
This book is all about fantasy. It offers an amazing experience and most importantly covers many genres of books ranging from comedy to mystery! The book is a series of seven novels, each one exploring the years at Harry's magical school of Hogwarts. It is about the protagonist Harry Potter, an orphaned boy of 11 (at the time of the first book). He lives the first ten years of his life in a miserable condition, with his aunt and uncle. Then on his eleventh birthday, he finds the truth about himself and begins his journey of self-discovery.
Percy Jackson
It is similar to the Harry Potter series of books, however with a twist. The protagonist- in this book- is a dyslexic boy. Dyslexia is a common condition in which children take time to grasp something. For example, if a teacher gives a class a new word, and tells them to memorize it by the next day. A normal child will take some two to three minutes to memorize the letters, but for a dyslexic child, it is a bit complicated. He/she's mind will wander somewhere and they will lose interest in the task. This is the condition faced by the hero of the story Percy. He too is not aware of the powers he possesses and is confused about himself. However, at the age of 11, he is introduced to a summer camp, where there are people like him.
And another thing to be noted is that the children of the camp are all demigods, meaning they are the children of Greek gods and goddesses. This series provides an interesting read and focuses on the point that everyone is special.
