My Experience On Virtual Assessment

 

Hi everyone, how r u doing nowadays! we all are busy, and studying very hard for our assessments, which are going on now. What is your experience with virtual assessments? I am also writing virtual assessments like you, it's going on . . . I am also feeling the same as you, my friends!

So I thought, I should talk about assessment. Assessment is a fundamental process to identify the students’ progress and achievement in language learning. Teachers can measure the success of teaching and recognize the students’ strengths and weaknesses from the result of the assessment. Nowadays, teachers do not need to come to the classroom to assess the students’ understanding and progress, they can do it online, that’s virtual!

If we think of our traditional way of classroom teaching, it is face to face and blackboard learning. But, this virtual learning & assessment has totally changed our mode of learning and understanding. Instead of blackboard, we are now seeing digital screens, in place of paper and pen we are writing in laptops/mobiles/tabs. Is this not a revolution in Technology..!!

Particularly to the Assessment, I am gaining a wonderful experience.

However, we are dependant on many externals like Internet speed, gadgets. Our invigilator/governess will always watch on us in both cases of the classroom and virtual assessment. I heard some issues like we can have an internet problem and get disconnected between the virtual assessment session. Yeah! It makes me disappointed too…

Finally, my experience in this virtual assessment is good and exciting. I hope this will be good for learning and useful for my future endeavors.
