Pollution

 Author : Kaavya Paliwal

Hola dear friends! It's very good to meet again. Everyone is getting bored nowadays of staying at home. Well, I have got a marvelous theme for all of you. Can you guess it? Thats right! It's pollution, isn’t it a great topic.
Let me give you a fact on pollution- Over 1 million seabirds and 100,000 sea mammals are killed due to air pollution every year. Isn’t that bad? Do you know how air pollution comes, how it harms us, and how we can prevent it? No problem! In the coming paragraphs, all your queries will be resolved.

Air pollution is formed when the solid particles combine with the aerosols and some gasses that are suspended in the air. Now you might be thinking that from where this pollution is coming from. Smoke from cars, volcanoes, wildfires, smoke from factories, etc. These examples cause air pollution. Not only are these examples of air pollution but there many more things that cause air pollution. So I am confident that you all must be thinking that can we reduce this air pollution?
Yes, we can reduce it by following certain things like - Avoid burning wood, leaves, trash, and other materials, Avoid cutting down trees, walk or ride a bike for traveling shorter distances, take a bus or carpooling, use CNG cars, follow the 3rs(Reduce, reuse and recycle), do not use plastic bags, etc. If we follow these rules then we will have the opportunity to stop air pollution.

Everyone wonders what is so bad about air pollution. But they almost forget about the previous facts and news they have read about air pollution like: Breathing air pollution takes away at least 1-2 years of a typical human life, air pollution is not a recent occurrence. In 1952, the Great Smog of London killed 8000 people. I think these many facts are enough for a person to understand that air pollution is not very light, it can cause many diseases that can be divided into short term effects and long term effects.

Some of the short term effects are:
Headache
Nose, throat, and eyes inflammation
Coughing, painful breathing
Pneumonia and Bronchitis
Skin irritation
Some of the long term effects are:
Effects of Central Nervous System
(Anxiety, Headache)
Cardiovascular disease
Respiratory disease
(Asthma, Cancer)

The short term diseases are not for a year or for a long time they only last for a week or two. The long term diseases last for a long period or also for a lifetime.
That’s it for this blog buddies. See you in my next blog.
