Bye Bye 2020 !!

 Hey there readers! Today is the happiest day of my life, guess why? Yes! Because today is the last day of 2020. I can't believe we have lived with covid-19 around for 7 whole months, so a pat on our back for that! I'm glad that due to God's grace we were safe from Corona. I can't wait to tell you all that I did to bid 2020 goodbye!


It was 8:00 in the morning when I woke up, not due to the chirping of birds but due to the aroma of delicious butter cookies straight out of the oven, I checked the calendar and realized that it was the last day of 2020! We had so much to do because we had to do so many preparations since a lot of people were coming over for the new year party. I got up quickly and got ready and went straight to the kitchen to help my mom while my brother helped my dad to clean and decorate the home. We were gonna cook food from two cuisines that day- Chinese and Indian. We cooked fried rice, haha noodles, crispy mushroom, pander chili, and spring rolls from the Chinese cuisine and paneer butter masala, cashew and tomato curry, Malai Kofta, kulchas, and tandoori roti from Indian cuisine. The aroma left all of our mouths watering but we had to wait till the afternoon cause that's when the guests are going to arrive. I had to take a bath again since I was all sweaty from the heat in the kitchen. In a few hours the guests arrived, at the start it was all quiet but the fun and chaos started in a while, we watched the latest movies like Durga Mata and coolie no.1, we played games like dumb charades, bingo, Antananarivo, etc, we danced, sang songs, this wasn't the end, the fun kept going till night 11:59, we started the count down and we cut cakes and again had a lot of fun. This day was a blast, I enjoyed it so so much that I can't put it in words!

2020 was finally over bringing 2021 with a ray of hope,2020 had two big zeros like the symbols of Corona, will the 1 stand for the vaccine, let's keep hope and wait for the vaccine! Will be back with more blogs until then happy new year !!!
