Mountains

Hey guys I am back with some more geography topics but this one is not outer space. This blog will be interesting, actually very interesting. You are going to learn something or the other in this blog. Do you want to know more then tune into the informative content?

Guys we are going to talk about and Mountain. Mountains have four types of fold mountains, block mountains, Residual mountains, and volcanic mountains. Fold mountains, these mountains are formed due to the compression inside the Earth. The land raised upwards is known as anticline and the land which has not raised is called a syncline. The mountains which are approximately 200 million years are called as old fold mountains, for example, arrival in India. Fold mountains are formed like mountain ranges. New fold mountains are mountains that are not older than 200 million years for example Himalayas in India. Block mountains, these mountains are formed when the Earth has cracks and because of that there is a gap and some part of the land goes down. When the gaps are filled it forms a rift valley. The upper part of the mountain is a horst and the land below is the graben. Volcanic mountains are formed when the mountain erupts, while it erupts it throws out magma and the magma cools down and it makes a conical shape, and because of this the mountain forms. Mountains are rich sources of minerals, they have good fertile soil, mountain rocks are used for making dams and other things.

Guys, I hope you learned something or the other in this one. Was it interesting? I think learning about mountains was easy and fun. So until next time goodbye.
