What Did My Strange Dream Mean?

 It had been over 2 hours waiting for the train. Zoe was becoming restless. Suddenly, the woman sweeping nearby vanished. Just BOOM! Zoe couldn't believe her eyes. The broom lay there. Zoe got worried. She also couldn't see people at a distance. Something seemed wrong. She started walking out of the platform. Once out in the most crowded place in her city, she expected to see many people, but, there was no one. The strangest thing is to see the noisiest place without any hustle-bustle, isn't it? The wind was depressing. She couldn't decide what to do and so started walking, walking towards her house; it was not far away. On her way she had visions of this situation, she wondered if she has seen this happening somewhere or if this has happened before with her? Her mind flooded with visions and thoughts and she lost balance, she tripped over something. She opened her eyes and looked around, everything was quiet. She saw it was some odd-looking object which she had not seen and walked over. She couldn't understand where was everyone and then she heard whining, it was coming from the side of the road. She went towards the sound and found a puppy, a cute chubby brown puppy. There was someone else too, a girl, probably. The girl looked into Zoe's terrified eyes. Zoe ran! She didn't know what can a young girl do to her. But she ran. It just seemed right. She saw a cafe, it was open and there was someone. Zoe stopped, panting. She crossed the road and went to the cafe. She knew at once who it was. "Rose!" she called. Rose turned around, she had the same look on her face as Zoe's; confused. Rose replied, "Oh my god! Finally, I found someone. Everything is so strange, I cannot find anyone. Today we arrived from our trip and when we reached home and I got fresh, I couldn't find anyone, I thought they all were playing some kind of joke with me but seriously out on the roads also there is no one and look at the cars they are parked in the middle of the road as if the people riding them vanished! . Rose took a deep breath. Zoe and Rose were in the same grade in the same school and they were best friends for 1 year. Zoe explained what had happened with her at the station; she had been waiting for the train to go to her cousin's house where her mom was waiting for her. Zoe said, " I have a cellphone because I was traveling alone today. I know it's almost impossible for a 14-year old to have a phone but you see only calls are allowed, I cannot text anyone there is no network." Rose squealed, "That's excellent! We can call anyone." But Zoe was not paying attention, she had just realized something. "Your little sister! Where is she?" asked Zoe. 

"She is at home because she didn't want to come with me".

"So, she didn't go anywhere? Like vanish or something?"

"How can a 7-year-old kid go anywhere by herself!"

"Why does it look like only the people above the age of 14 have vanished."

"OH MY GOD!"

They both ran! They knew exactly what to do! They don't know how but they knew where to go. Running out of the cafe. And she woke up. Zoe opened her eyes. It was a dream. She sat on the bed thinking about her strange dream. She also realized it was the day when she was going to get a cellphone and she was going to travel to her cousin's house; alone. This was also the day when, Rose, her Best friend was going to return from her trip. The same as in Zoe's dream! She looked out of the window, everything was normal; the usual hustle bustle on the road. Zoe's mom came into the room to wake her up with the breakfast tray. Suddenly out of nowhere, there was a strange smell in the air. Her mom said "You better go and get refreshed and come down- " Her voice faded and she vanished, the tray fell. POP! Gone. Zoe heard many "pops" from the road. All the adults were gone. It was a world without adults.
