Book Review : Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone By J. K. Rowling
Hello everyone!! I am Ronil, I love to share some of my amazing experiences, incredible facts, some of my feelings in the form of blogs...
So today I would like to review one of my favorite books Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone.
This very book went through a journey full of rejections but later when the publisher's granddaughter read the book, she loved it! Well, I think even she deserves credit, it was her because of whom were introduced to J. K. Rowling's Wizarding World. In an interview Rowling said she could have put some personal touches of hers in the book such as Her parents had met first time at King's Cross station, Harry was an orphan and J.K Rowling's parents died when she was young, and etc. As we all know that the novel also has a film based on it which really brings the Wizarding World to life.
In the book, we see how Harry Potter a young boy gets orphaned at age 1 and then his maternal aunt and her husband keep him in their house treating him like a slave. When his 11th birthday was on its way thousands of letters are posted for Harry Potter but Vernon (His maternal aunt's husband) restricts him from reading those and burn them in the fire. Later, since They get a lot of letters from Potter which results in them going to a place in nowhere. After a giant man comes into their house Harry discovers the truth about him, that he's a wizard and how his parents were killed by the dark lord. Harry goes to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy. And then there's a fun ride of Harry's first year in the school and how he discovers all the things about him while he isn't aware of.
Since I had watched all the 8 Harry Potter movies I did had quite an idea of what I should expect from the book. Even though because of movies I knew what to expect yet I was really excited since I had heard that there are a lot of things in the books which are not in the movies.
Reading the book I felt really great and was fascinated by the World J.K Rowling had created. Soon I am going to read the second book & I can't wait to discover more of the Wizarding world.
