Author: Tanishk Parab
Hello readers! Welcome to another blog by your favourite blogger, me Tanishk and today my topic is our national flower. So without wasting any time let’s begin. Zoom in!
Lotus is the national flower of India. It was chosen as the national flower because it enjoyed a significant presence in ancient tradition, scripture and mythology. Just as the lotus remains untouched by muddy water where it grows, human beings rise above worldly attachments. The lotus also symbolizes knowledge and beauty as Saraswati the goddess of learning. The Lotus is one of the most widely available flowers in India. The lotus imprint lies in the centre of the Government of Padma awards medallion. The Scientific name of the lotus is Nelumbo. The lotus is a symbol of divine beauty and is often used as a simile to describe someone with pure and delicate attributes. That was my information on our national flower the lotus also known as water lily or Nelumbo. I hope you enjoy my blog. Do check out my previous blog but until next time bye.
